As a tax-paying American citizen, I will not support any congressperson who votes to implement such a policy. Instead, I submit the following three step Common Sense Plan.
INSURANCE
a. Insure the subprime bonds/mortgages with an underlying FHA-type insurance.

I. INSURANCE
a. Insure the subprime bonds/mortgages with an underlying FHA-type insurance.
Government-insured and backed loans would have an instant market all over the
world, creating immediate and needed liquidity.
b. In order for a company to accept the government-backed insurance, they must do two
things:
1. Rewrite any mortgage that is more than three months delinquent to a
6% fixed-rate mortgage.
a. Roll all back payments with no late fees or legal costs into the
balance. This brings homeowners current and allows them a
chance to keep their homes.
b. Cancel all prepayment penalties to encourage refinancing or
the sale of the property to pay off the bad loan. In the event of
foreclosure or short sale, the borrower will not be held liable
for any deficit balance. FHA does this now, and that
encourages mortgage companies to go the extra mile while
working with the borrower—again limiting foreclosures and
ruined lives.
2. Cancel ALL golden parachutes of EXISTING and FUTURE CEOs and
executive team members as long as the company holds these
government-insured bonds/mortgages. This keeps underperforming
executives from being paid when they don’t do their jobs.
c. This backstop will cost less than $50 billion—a small fraction of the current proposal.
II. MARK TO MARKET
a. Remove mark to market accounting rules for two years on only subprime Tier III
bonds/mortgages. This keeps companies from being forced to artificially mark down
bonds/mortgages below the value of the underlying mortgages and real estate.
b. This move creates patience in the market and has an immediate stabilizing effect on
failing and ailing banks—and it costs the taxpayer nothing.
III. CAPITAL GAINS TAX
a. Remove the capital gains tax completely. Investors will flood the real estate and stock
market in search of tax-free profits, creating tremendous—and immediate—liquidity in
the markets. Again, this costs the taxpayer nothing.
b. This move will be seen as a lightning rod politically because many will say it is helping
the rich. The truth is the rich will benefit, but it will be their money that stimulates the
economy. This will enable all Americans to have more stable jobs and retirement
investments that go up instead of down.
This is not a time for envy, and it’s not a time for politics. It’s time for all of us, as Americans, to
stand up, speak out, and fix this mess.
Brookfield's City Clerk & voter registration checks
http://legalnewsline.com/news/216035-judge-oks-van-hollens-lawsuit-against-elections-officials
MADISON, Wis. (Legal Newsline) - Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van
Hollen will be allowed to sue state elections officials to force them
to verify thousands of voters' identities, a judge has ruled.
Van
Hollen, a Republican, is seeking to force the state Government
Accountability Board to confirm the identity of thousands of voters
before the Nov. 4 election by cross checking information on thousands
of voter registrations against information in other state databases.
Democrats claim that the attorney general's lawsuit is a means to suppress the vote.
Van
Hollen filed the lawsuit last week against the state's Government
Accountability Board over claims the board failed to meet the federal
Help America Vote Act of 2002, known as HAVA.
The Government
Accountability Board's attorney,Lester Pines, had argued that Van
Hollen should be disqualified because state Supreme Court rules say
attorneys cannot sue their own clients.
Dane County Circuit
Judge Maryann Sumi on Wednesday disagreed, saying that the attorney
general can sue to force state agencies to adhere to the law.
"Whether
or not the attorney general should be using his authority in this way
is something to be decided at the ballot box when the attorney general
is subject to reelection," Sumi said.
In his lawsuit, Van Hollen
said Wisconsin was required to have a system in place that would meet
federal elections requirements no later than January 1, 2006. However,
the system was not in place until just recently.
The attorney
general said had Wisconsin met the HAVA deadline, new voters who
registered by mail since January 1, 2006, would have been subject to a
so-called "HAVA check" to ensure that the information they provided to
election officials matched the information in other public databases.
"The
goal of this requirement is to protect the integrity of elections by
ensuring that only those who are qualified and properly registered
would be permitted to cast ballots," Van Hollen said, announcing his
lawsuit.

If Liberals cite Bible, they should know the Bible
The L.A. Times just came up with this phony roadblock to Governor Sarah Palin's new role as Republican VP nominee: To some evangelicals, Palin's career violates biblical teachings. Actually, following their logic, she should not have run for mayor or governor then either.
Guess the LA Times writer never read about the Proverbs 31 woman, or Deborah the Judge of Israel, Queen Esther who saved the Jews from extermination. But then, I would guess Teresa Watanabe has not really read the Bible much less studied it.

Why did warnings of financial doom fall on deaf ears?
Right now we are seeing the results of warnings unheeded. Freddie and Fannie, once thought too big to fail, did. The taxpayer had to bail them out. Now many lending institutions are teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. The taxpayers again need to bail them out.
More and more is coming out about the warnings sounded by Republicans about the Community ra. No one listened then. They were dismissed by Barney Frank and Maxine Waters?
Tax break for wooden arrows? And that's the good part of Senate bailout
The Senate bailout plan passed Tuesday night. The bill went from the 113 page house version to 450-something pages! How could the Senators even read 450 pages?

Uncle Sam is broke. Where will Obama get money for promises?
Early in his campaign, Obama said he would get money from Iraq war? Now he is sending troops to Afghanistan. look up http://www.angelqueen.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20159
Obama, in turn, has proposed billions of dollars in spending to create jobs and pad government programs aimed at helping the less fortunate. He has said that the money will come from ending the Iraq war, slicing tax breaks for corporations, and raising taxes on high-income earners, efforts he says are intended to shift more of the tax burden to wealthy Americans.
Democrat's donations key to why they think rich must pay more taxes?
I always find it interesting to see how much politicians give to charity. Senator Joe Biden gave a paltry $995 last year, yet he made $2,450,042! And his $995 to nonprofits was over twice his normal yearly giving for the past 9 out of 10 years. Why do I say paltry? Because many teens I know give more money from their part time job income than he gave in his past average donations. Biden made almost $2.5 million but gave such a little amount... amazing.
Actually, I am surprised at his Scrooge-ishness, because Biden says he is a Catholic. I would have thought he would have given his church more. (David Wade, a spokesperson, said the Bidens did give to their church, “The charitable
contributions claimed by the Bidens on their tax returns are not the
sum of their annual contributions to charity.” That could be the case. But why they wouldn't record these donations and put them on their tax return is beyond me, since that is such a standard practice. It raises the question, if you aren't claiming the entire amount, then why list any at all?)

Newsweek's Jon Meacham thinks that Governor Sarah Palin is too much a commoner and too stupid to be allowed to become vice president of the United States of America and apparently his employer agrees with him. The October 13 cover of Newsweek features a close up photo of the Governor with the headline "She's One of the Folks (And that's the problem)," and Meacham writes the accompanying cover story. Be clear about what this means: This is a direct attack on Mr. and Mrs. America. We are all too stupid to be president in the elite opinion of Jon Meacham and Newsweek magazine.

Why bother getting a good education?
We are told time and time again that we need to spend more on public education. Why? So that our children can be competitive in a world market.
Parents want their children to succeed in life and most young adults want to land a job that has a big, fat paycheck. Some college students might play the game that they are not interested in materialism, but that is probably because they are living off their parents!
McCain goes to La Crosse Friday, Palin not willing to give up Michigan
On the news yesterday, I heard that John McCain and Sarah Palin will go to La Crosse Friday after their stop in Waukesha on Thursday. I think that is a good move. McCain will also be in Mosinee, WI, and Palin in Wilmington, OH later on Thursday.
Yesterday, Gov. Sarah Palin said she wanted to go back to Michigan--she wasn't giving up on that state. That is good news for Michigan since The GOP in Michigan is still trying to "boost efforts" in the state.
George McGovern backs voter privacy, Obama doesn't
Would you like to go to the polls on Nov. 4th and have everyone view your ballot? Not too many people would. The right to a private ballot is important to Americans.
Peer pressure can be a powerful force--especially in unions. There is a bill right now called the Employee Free Choice Act, HR 800. The name would make you think it protected privacy. It doesn't. Senator Barack Obama co-sponsored and voted for it.
From little ACORNs big voter fraud grows
Is ACORN Stealing the Election? That was the title of Wednesday's Investor's Business Daily's editorial. It is a long but worthwhile read (also sickening.) The connections to Obama are troubling: Obama worked for ACORN and his campaign paid ACORN.
It's a legitimate question to raise now that the FBI has raided the offices of the nonprofit Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now in Nevada and North Carolina, two states where Obama and John McCain are running neck-and-neck. ACORN has registered bogus voters in both states.
Not every vote should count, but which ones shouldn't?
The specter of voter fraud looms larger every day in the battleground states. People all over our country are wondering if the winner on Nov. 4th will be the legitimate recipient of properly registered voters or the product of massive voter fraud. There is growing fear and evidence it could be the latter.
Yesterday, authorities raided the Las Vegas ACORN/Reform Now office. How many fraudulent registrations did they find? Who knows. From The Las Vegas Review-Journal:"We don't know how many (falsified forms) are here; there may be two, or there may be thousands," said Bob Walsh, spokesman for the secretary of state's office.

An American Carol: Funny & thought provoking, but w/reservations
I saw An American Carol on its debut, Friday, Oct. 3. Usually I wait for a movie to hit the Budget Theater, but with these more offbeat type films, often you better see them when you can. (Same thing happened with the movie, Expelled. It just came out on DVD in case you missed that one.)
The movie had some very funny lines, bits, and situations, but also contained some real points to ponder. Actor Leslie Nielsen plays a grandfather of a Navy man, the Bob Cratchit of the story, who is about to ship out to the Persian Gulf. The Navy man's uncle is the Michael Moore-like character, Michael Malone--the Scrooge.

Today's Washington Times piece, PRUDEN: Smells from the shadows sums up much of what's fishy about this election: the voter fraud, the biased media, and of course, Sen. Barack Obama's questionable associations. (My emphasis)
Something odd is going on. The Obama campaign boasts of a landslide in the making even as his polling lead slips a point or two, and there's anger bordering on rage when John McCain and Sarah Palin raise questions about Barack Obama's judgment in his unexplored past in Chicago.
A plea for poll watchers to avert voter fraud
At yesterday's McCain/Palin Town Hall meeting, a person from Milwaukee County's Republican Party passed out info to the waiting crowd: "Your VOTE is being STOLEN!" It gave some information about the problem of voter fraud.

I was just thinking...could Congress enact some sort of emergency legislation for a nationwide voter ID requirement, and if a voter did not have one, their ballot be cast provisionally. Guess I wasn't the first.
GrasstopsUSA sent out an email, asking that we demand "Congress be called back into session IMMEDIATELY and emergency legislation must be passed that simply states that voters must produce a valid state or federal ID at the polls or have their vote counted provisionally." (I do not support GrasstopsUSA financially but find their emails interesting.) This has a snowballs chance of going anywhere, but dealing with voter fraud after the fact is pretty ineffective.

We
need your help to ensure a fair and honest election. Already we have
seen nationwide voter registration fraud by ACORN - a group closely
linked to Barack Obama.
ACORN is under investigation for fraudulent activities in at least 11
states and they are accused of wrongdoing in many others. Election
officials across the country have reported that 40-50% percent of
registrations being turned in by ACORN are fictitious and are clogging
up the system.
We have seen corruption in nearly every contested state:
ACORN's
activities are poisoning the political system while advocating for
Barack Obama's campaign. Make no mistake about it: voter registration
fraud has only one purpose and that is voter fraud.
We need you to sign up today to ensure that this election is not stolen.
If you haven't done so already, we still need your

Arnold Schwarzenegger OK, Howard Dean OK, but Sarah Palin NOT OK?
It amazes me that the question is still out there: Is Sarah Palin qualified to be Vice President or God forbid, President? Considering Senator Barack Obama has so little experience, the question is laughable.
In the race for the White House, Governors traditionally are hands down the favorite against Senators or Congressmen. Since Governors must prepare a budget and run their state, it is thought that their executive experience translates more completely to the presidency than experience in other branches of government.

New twist on Reagan's "I'm from the govt...to help"

Lincoln's platform in direct contrast to Obama's
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away men's initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

I remember during the 2004 election, it seemed George Bush was doomed. The results were different however: Zogby got it right. So this time around, I don't pay much attention to the other polls, which often are stacked with more Democrats than Republicans, I just check Zogby. Today, Obama is down .8% and McCain up 2.4% from yesterday; they are 3.8 % apart. Rasmussen is another poll that is respected. It shows a 5% lead for Obama nationally.
Considering that Obama is outspending McCain at least 5 to 1, you would think Obama would be way ahead, not just around 4% nationally. The bad economy helps Obama more than it helps McCain. **Obama on Partial Birth Abortion: Are you for or against? Yes
Partial Birth Abortion is a barbaric procedure in which doctors induce a late term pregnant woman to actually give birth, but before the baby is totally delivered, doctors will puncture the child's brain to kill it. If any other culture did that we would be outraged. (This procedure is to be confused with late term labor induced abortion, which occurs earlier in the pregnancy.)
Partial Birth Abortion was "banned by the Congress and signed by the President in 2003" The Supreme Court upheld the ban in 2007. Even pro-abortion Sen. Daniel Moynihan, Democrat from N.Y. voted to ban partial-birth abortion. He said the practice was "too close to infanticide."

Love that Joe the plumber, he calls Obama on tax plan
We are learning more and more about Barack Obama's tax plan--it is not a tax cut but a socialistic increase in spending.
As Obama was on the campaign trail in Ohio this week, Obama encountered Joe the plumber--a small businessman. He was not impressed with the Obama tax plan. Fox News Neil Cavuto interviewed Joe.

It's not Obama's skin color I object to, it's that he leans too RED
Presidential candidate Barack Obama has used his skin color to his advantage in this election. Anytime anyone brings up his past associations with Rev. Wright, terrorist William Ayers, Father Flager, or FannieMae's Franklin Raines, etc., Obama's campaign squawks, that's racist. (Go figure, 2 of those men are white.) Referencing Obama as a community activist/organizer was deemed a code word for black too.
But in just the past few weeks, more disturbing relationships have come to light: Obama's ties and associations with The New Party socialists and Marxists.
Biden warns of international crisis in 1st 6 months, "Gird your loins"
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/10/biden-to-suppor.html Biden to Supporters: "ird Your Loins", For the Next President "It's Like Cleaning Augean Stables"
ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday
guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested
by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he
will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly
unpopular, decisions.
"Mark my words," the Democratic vice
presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle
fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests
Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're
about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United
States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't
remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international
crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."
"I
can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might
originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the
Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And
the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not
financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence,
your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's
not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're
right."
Not only will the next administration have to deal with
foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current
economic crisis.
"Gird your loins," Biden told the crowd.
"We're gonna win with your help, God willing, we're gonna win, but this
is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is
gonna be left with the most significant task. It's like cleaning the
Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think
about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital
crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we
have with this economy."
The Delaware lawmaker managed to rake
in an estimated $1 million total from his two money hauls at the
downtown Sheraton, the same hotel where four years ago Sen. John Kerry,
D-Mass., clinched the Democratic nomination. Despite warning about the
difficulties the next administration will face, Biden said the
Democratic ticket is equipped to meet the challenges head on.
"I've
forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so
I'm not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added,
but this guy has it," the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of
Obama. "This guy has it. But he's gonna need your help. Because I
promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going,
'Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so
down? Why is this thing so tough?' We're gonna have to make some
incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you
now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the
faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce
us."
"There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, 'Whoa,
wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision',"
Biden continued. "Because if you think the decision is sound when
they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not
likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular,
they're probably not sound."
Biden emphasized that the
mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border is of particular concern, with
Osama bin Laden "alive and well" and Pakistan "bristling with nuclear
weapons."
"You literally can see what these kids are up against,
our kids in that region," Biden said in recalling when his helicopter
was forced down due to a snowstorm there. "The place is crawling with
al Qaeda. And it's real."
"We do not have the military
capacity, nor have we ever, quite frankly, in the last 20 years, to
dictate outcomes," he cautioned. "It's so much more important than
that. It's so much more complicated than that. And Barack gets it."
After speaking for just over a quarter of an hour, Biden noticed the media presence in the back of the small ballroom.
"I probably shouldn't have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here," he joked.
"All
kidding aside, these guys have left us in a God-awful place," he then
said of the Bush regime, promptly wrapping up his remarks. "We have the
ability to straighten it out. It's gonna take a little bit of time, so
I ask you to stay with us. Stay with us."

America's early socialist experiment
Socialism! There, I've said it
Liberals, such as Obama, might deny human nature, but they can't change it. And human nature happens to dictate that people will not produce as much when you confiscate more of what they produce and give it to others. The working wealthy, especially Christians and conservatives, are some of the most generous people in the world, but we're talking about voluntary charitable contributions, not unconstitutionally coerced redistributions.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/09/04/AR2007090401623_pf.html Importing Poverty
A second reason is that immigration affects government policy. By default, our present policy is to import poor people. This imposes strains on local schools, public services and health care. From 2000 to 2006, 41 percent of the increase in people without health insurance occurred among Hispanics. Paradoxically, many Hispanics are advancing quite rapidly. But assimilation -- which should be our goal -- will be frustrated if we keep adding to the pool of poor. Newcomers will compete with earlier arrivals. In my view, though some economists disagree, competition from low-skilled Hispanics also hurts low-skilled blacks.

Barack Obama says he plans to cut taxes for 95 percent of American workers. That sounds terrific, but there are three problems. One, it is meant to draw attention from the real core of the Obama tax plan: proposed increases in every major federal tax. Two, the structure of the cuts will create perverse incentives. And three, many of the people receiving “tax cuts” don’t pay taxes to begin with, meaning they’ll be in effect getting welfare.

The boycott is over, "McDonald's straightens up and fries right!"
I almost forgot about this: the McDonald's boycott ended about 2 weeks ago. Family Research Council reports:
The Big Mac attack on family values is finally over! After a five-month boycott, Americans finally got what they ordered-McDonald's agreement to stop financing the homosexual agenda. At the time, company Vice President Richard Ellis refused to back down, even calling conservatives "haters" in a public statement.

From Family Research Council:
According to volunteers from the area's [New Jersey's] "40 Days for Life" campaign, many of the patients leaving the Cherry Hill clinic are "alone, crying, and in extreme pain." After their digoxin injections, these mothers are sent home or to area hotels to wait for their babies to die. The next day, they return to the clinic to deliver their dead children.

Why would Colin Powell's edorsement matter?
The fact that Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama late in the game doesn't surprise me at all. What does surprise me is that Democrats made so much of it.
Many Conservatives were never too impressed with Colin Powell, so the fact that he favors Obama now doesn't make us shake in our boots. If someone like Justice Clarence Thomas would endorse Obama, that would shake things up, but not Powell.

Polls have a bias--they will tighten up now because they all want to be right
http://www.anncoulter.com/cgi-local/article.cgi?article=278 Eighty-Four percent say they'd never lie to a pollster, Oct. 15
...In addition to the social pressure to constantly prove you're not a
racist, apparently there is massive social pressure to prove you're not
a Republican. No one is lying about voting for McCain just to sound
cool.
Reviewing the polls printed in The New York Times and The
Washington Post in the last month of every presidential election since
1976, I found the polls were never wrong in a friendly way to
Republicans. When the polls were wrong, which was often, they
overestimated support for the Democrat, usually by about 6 to 10
points.
In 1976, Jimmy Carter narrowly beat Gerald Ford 50.1 percent to 48
percent. And yet, on Sept. 1, Carter led Ford by 15 points. Just weeks
before the election, on Oct. 16, 1976, Carter led Ford in the Gallup
Poll by 6 percentage points -- down from his 33-point Gallup Poll lead
in August.
Reading newspaper coverage of presidential elections in 1980 and
1984, I found myself paralyzed by the fear that Reagan was going to
lose.
In 1980, Ronald Reagan beat Carter by nearly 10 points, 51 percent
to 41 percent. In a Gallup Poll released days before the election on
Oct. 27, it was Carter who led Reagan 45 percent to 42 percent.
In 1984, Reagan walloped Walter Mondale 58.8 percent to 40
percent, -- the largest electoral landslide in U.S. history. But on
Oct. 15, The New York Daily News published a poll showing Mondale with
only a 4-point deficit to Reagan, 45 percent to 41 percent. A Harris
Poll about the same time showed Reagan with only a 9-point lead. The
Oct. 19 New York Times/CBS News Poll had Mr. Reagan ahead of Mondale by
13 points. All these polls underestimated Reagan's actual margin of
victory by 6 to 15 points.
In 1988, George H.W. Bush beat Michael Dukakis by a whopping 53.4
percent to 45.6 percent. A New York Times/CBS News Poll on Oct. 5 had
Bush leading the Greek homunculus by a statistically insignificant 2
points -- 45 percent to 43 percent. (For the kids out there: Before it
became a clearinghouse for anti-Bush conspiracy theories, CBS News was
considered a credible journalistic entity.)
A week later -- or one tank ride later, depending on who's telling
the story -- on Oct. 13, Bush was leading Dukakis in The New York Times
Poll by a mere 5 points.
Admittedly, a 3- to 6-point error is not as crazily wrong as the
6- to 15-point error in 1984. But it's striking that even small "margin
of error" mistakes never seem to benefit Republicans.
In 1992, Bill Clinton beat the first President Bush 43 percent to
37.7 percent. (Ross Perot got 18.9 percent of Bush's voters that year.)
On Oct. 18, a Newsweek Poll had Clinton winning 46 percent to 31
percent, and a CBS News Poll showed Clinton winning 47 percent to 35
percent.
So in 1992, the polls had Clinton 12 to 15 points ahead, but he won by only 5.3 points.
In 1996, Bill Clinton beat Bob Dole 49 percent to 40 percent. And
yet on Oct. 22, 1996, The New York Times/CBS News Poll showed Clinton
leading by a massive 22 points, 55 percent to 33 percent.
In 2000, which I seem to recall as being fairly close, the October
polls accurately described the election as a virtual tie, with either
Bush or Al Gore 1 or 2 points ahead in various polls. But in one of the
latest polls to give either candidate a clear advantage, The New York
Times/CBS News Poll on Oct. 3, 2000, showed Gore winning by 45 percent
to 39 percent.
In the last presidential election the polls were surprisingly
accurate -- not including the massively inaccurate Election Day exit
poll. In the end, Bush beat John Kerry 50.7 percent to 48.3 percent in
2004. Most of the October polls showed the candidates in a dead-heat,
with Bush 1 to 3 points ahead. So either pollsters got a whole lot
better starting in 2004, or Democrats stole more votes in that election
than we even realized.

It was a direct result of the political decision, back in the late 1990s, to loosen the
rules of lending so that home loans would be more accessible to poor people.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were authorized to approve risky loans.
U.N. hopes for Obama victory and errosion of U.S. Soverignty
Obama's Global Poverty Act not only would cost Americans nearly $860 billion??? but more importantly it would compromise America's sovereignty. Is it any wonder those at the U.N. are rooting for Barack Obama?

Governor Palin returned to her home state, Alaska, after the convention. In watching interviews with the locals, it was pretty hard to miss that they all call her "Sarah." (She does enjoy a 68 to 80% approval rating.)
The ability for the public to relate to a candidate and imagine going out for a beer with in elections is a huge advantage they say. Since I don't drink, I will translate that familiarity to having coffee together.

A real letter from Corey the driller
http://www.eclecticwill.com/2008/10/open-letter-to-sen-obama-from-corey-miller-the-well-driller/ Open Letter to Sen. Obama from Corey Miller the Well Driller
Good day boys and girls. A friend of mine forwarded me the letter that I’m about to post. She apparently got a hold of it from a talk show out west and it was written to the talk show host by a real person. I have done my due diligence, checked it out on snopes and checked out the website of the person whose name was quoted in the email.
Business "officially horrified" at prospect of filibuster-proof Senate
I first heard about the U.S. Chamber of Commerce ads on Mark Levin's Friday, Oct. 24th broadcast. (About at the 40 minute mark.) Mark also discussed socialism and floated the possibility that Obama somehow considers his spreading the wealth as reparations.
Mark characterized the business community as being "officially horrified" at the prospect of being under a Democrat majority House, Senate, and presidency. From the Wall Street Journal, Business Finally Fights Back The U.S. Chamber of Commerce throws its weight against a filibuster-proof Senate: (My emphasis)

Would these 13 be some of those campaign workers Biden was proud of? In fairness, the McCain campaign was warned too, but I have not seen details about numbers of them withdrawing their ballots. (My emphasis throughout.)

Media bias so blatent even Dan Rather agrees!
When Dan Rather notes the media is biased in favor of the Obama campaign, how can you continue to deny it? (My emphasis throughout)
Former CBS anchorman Dan Rather says there is a huge double-standard in the media when it comes to coverage the Barack Obama campaign receives, which is clearly made evident in the lack of scrutiny given to comments Obama’s vice presidential running mate Sen. Joe Biden made earlier this week. [Re: international crisis]

Funny thing about Socialists and Marxists. They say everyone should spread the wealth around. quote from Marx each according to his ability but they believe they themselves are exempt from that mandate.

I repeat: who is teaching our kids? Ayers & other terrorists
http://www.anncoulter.com/cgi-local/printer_friendly.cgi?article=279 AYERS: Radical Loon When Obama Was Only 47
The media are acting as if they completely and fully vetted Obama
during the Democratic primaries and that's why they are entitled to
send teams of researchers into Alaska to analyze Sarah Palin's every
expense report.
In fact, the mainstream media did no vetting. They seem to have
all agreed, "OK, none of us will get into this business with Jeremiah
Wright, 'Tony' Rezko, Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers and everyone's
impression of an angry Michelle Obama on 'The Jerry Springer Show.'"
During one of the Democratic primary debates, Hillary Clinton was
hissed for mentioning Syrian national Rezko, and during another, ABC
moderator George Stephanopoulos nearly lost his career for asking Obama
one question about William Ayers.
In the past week, TV anchors have taken to claiming that Obama
"refuted" John McCain's statement that Obama launched his political
career at the home of former Weather Underground leader Ayers.
No, Obama "denied" it; he didn't "refute" it. If "denying"
something is the same as "refuting" it, then maybe the establishment
media can quit harping on Palin's qualifications to be president, since
she too "refuted" that by denying it.
Back before the media realized it needed to lie about Obama
launching his political career at Ayers' house, the Los Angeles Times
provided an eyewitness account from a liberal who attended the event.
"When I first met Barack Obama, he was giving a standard,
innocuous little talk in the living room of those two
legends-in-their-own-minds, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. They were
launching him -- introducing him to the Hyde Park community as the best
thing since sliced bread."
The Times has now stripped this item from its Web page, but the great blogger Patterico has preserved it for posterity on his Web page.
Obama's glib remark that "Bill Ayers is a professor of education
in Chicago; 40 years ago when I was 8 years old he engaged in
despicable acts with a domestic group. I have roundly denounced those
attacks" -- doesn't answer anything.
First of all, the fact that Ayers is a professor of education
proves only one thing: He is dumber than any person without an
education degree.
Ayers is such an imbecile, we ought to be amazed that he's
teaching at a university -- even when you consider that it's an ed
school -- except all former violent radicals end up teaching. Roughly
80 percent of former Weathermen are full college professors -- 99
percent if you don't include the ones killed in shoot-outs with the
police or in prison -- i.e., not yet pardoned by a Democratic
president.
Any other profession would have banned a person like Ayers.
Universities not only accept former domestic terrorists, but also move
them to the front of the line. In addition to Ayers, among those once
on the FBI's most-wanted list who ended up in cushy college teaching
positions are Bernardine Dohrn (Northwestern University), Mark Rudd (a
junior college in New Mexico) and Angela Davis (History of
Consciousness Department, University of California at Santa Cruz).
While others were hard at work on Ph.D.s, Susan Rosenberg was
conspiring to kill cops and blow up buildings, and was assembling
massive caches of explosives. This put her on the fast track for a
teaching position at Hamilton College!
Despite having absolutely no qualifications to teach, having
earned only a master's degree in "writing" through a correspondence
course, Rosenberg was offered a position at Hamilton within a few years
of President Clinton pardoning her in 2001, releasing her from a
58-year prison sentence for participating in the murder of cops and
possessing more than 700 pounds of explosives.
But Obama thinks it's a selling point to say that Ayers is a college professor.
Hundreds of college professors have signed a letter vouching for
Ayers, which would be like Lester Maddox producing a letter from George
Wallace assuring us that Maddox is a respected member of the community.
No, really, I've got the letter right here!
The media keep citing the fact that the money Obama and Ayers
distributed to idiotic left-wing causes came -- as The New York Times
put it -- "from Walter H. Annenberg, the billionaire publisher and
philanthropist and President Richard M. Nixon's ambassador to the
United Kingdom."
Great Republican though he was, Walter Annenberg died in 2002. The
money came from the Annenberg Foundation, which, like all foundations,
distributes money to projects that its founder would despise. John
Kerry ran for president on the late John Heinz's money. That didn't
mean Republican Heinz was endorsing Kerry.
As John O'Sullivan says, any foundation that is not explicitly
right-wing will become a radical left-wing organization within a few
years. It could be the Association of University Women, the American
Association of Retired People, the American Rose Growers, the
Foundation for the Study of Railroad Engineers or the Choral Society of
Newport Beach.
Left-wing radicals swarm to free foundation money, where they can
give gigantic grants to one another and they will never have to do a
day's work. That's exactly what Obama and Ayers did with Annenberg's
money.
None of the Annenberg money went to schoolchildren. It went to
Ayers' left-wing crank friends to write moronic papers that we hope no
one ever reads.
Instead of teaching students reading and writing, Ayers thinks
they should be taught to rebel against America's "imperialist" social
structure. In 2006, Ayers was in Venezuela praising communist dictator
Hugo Chavez, saying, "We share the belief that education is the
motor-force of revolution."
He has backed a line of schoolbooks such as one titled "Teaching Science for Social Justice."
Forget about Ayers' domestic terrorism when Obama "was 8 years old." Does he agree with Ayers' idiot ideas right now?

LA Times won't release Obama toasting "Ex-PLO Operative" video
I am almost afraid to ask, what else don't we know about Barack Obama?
How about another friend, "Ex-PLO operative" Rashid Khalidi? Obama characterized Khalidi as just someone who sent his children to the same school as the Obama's did. But like William Ayers, it was a little more than that. (Ayers by the way is a friend of Khalidi.) Looking at the April 9th LA Times article about Obama at the 2003 farewell party for Khalidi, Obama himself said there was more,

Elmbrook's 2008-09 enrollment decline affects 2009-10 budget
Elmbrook enrollment down by 103 students, but no need to worry...now. "The state exempts districts from fluctuations in enrollment for one year."
I first learned about this delay at the April 8th school board meeting when they discussed the 2008-09 budget. There was mention that although the 4K pilot program was discontinued, Elmbrook's budget would still be based on their higher 2007-08 enrollment numbers*. It was a boon--a bit of free money.

Obama's I voted against it before I said I was for itOne of my favorite lines from the 2004 presidential campaigns was John Kerry's, “I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it.” His statement evolved into I voted for the war before I voted against it, and it became synonymous with the term flip-flop. Most politicians do this to a certain extent. John McCain has changed his stance on domestic oil drilling. Barack Obama certainly is not letting me down!
