Kristina Zarek and Kevin Wright of Redlands, Calif., are planning a July 28, 2012, wedding at Renaissance Place in Milwaukee.

Parents of the couple are Jim and Donna Zarek of Brookfield and Chuck and Jane Wright of Thiensville.

The bride-to-be earned her degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a seventh-grade pre-algebra teacher in San Bernardino, Calif.

The future groom earned his degree in biomedical engineering from UW-Madison and his degree in brew master engineering from the University of California-Davis. He is the general manager and head brewer for Hangar 24 Craft Brewery in Redlands.

The couple became engaged New Year's of 2011 at the Santa Monica Pier.
