City of Brookfield

BURGLARY

1Copper pipes and extension cords were stolen from a maintenance shed at a construction site in the 12700 block of West Bluemound Road between 6 p.m. Jan. 23 and 6 a.m. Jan. 24.

THEFT

2A motorist pumped $50 worth of gasoline at Mobile Mart, 14035 W. Capitol Drive, about 9:30 a.m. Jan. 22, and drove off without paying.

3Two pieces of luggage were reported stolen from McKinley Lodge, 4550 Pilgrim Road, about 10 p.m. Jan. 23. A person came into the lobby about 7:30 p.m. and asked for gas money, and then left. Employees are not sure if this person came back later and stole the luggage.

4GPS units were stolen from two vehicles in the 16800 block of West Bluemound Road between midnight and 7:45 a.m. Jan. 24. In both cases, entry was gained by smashing a window.

5Two iPods were stolen from a bag in a secure room at Brookfield East High School, 3305 Lilly Road, the evening of Jan. 24.

6Candles were stolen from the front display at Yankee Candle in Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, about 3:30 p.m. Jan. 25.

7A 16-year-old boy was arrested for retail theft at The Buckle in Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, about 5:20 p.m. Jan. 26.

8A man stole several items from The North Face in Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, about 7:45 p.m. Jan. 26. The man ran out of the store and into a waiting car, which sped away.

DRUG POSSESSION

9A 21-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance near Bluemound Road and Eastmoor Avenue about 12:40 a.m. Jan. 25.

10A 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found marijuana and other narcotics in his vehicle near Calhoun and Gebhardt roads about 6:45 p.m. Jan. 28.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

11A 49-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving near Lisbon and Lilly roads about 12:45 a.m. Jan. 25.

12A 20-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 3200 block of North Calhoun Road about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 25.

13A 31-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving near Calhoun Road and Capitol Drive about 9:30 a.m. Jan. 25. A passenger in the vehicle, a 30-year-old man, was arrested for obstructing police.

14A 24-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving near Calhoun Road and Burnet Street about 2:10 a.m. Jan. 28.

15A 26-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving near Moorland Road and Interstate 94 about 12:15 a.m. Jan. 29.

VANDALISM

16Windows were smashed on several vehicles outside the Sheraton Hotel, 375 S. Moorland Road, during the early hours of Jan. 28.

Town of Brookfield

THEFT

17A 30-year-old man was arrested for theft, trespassing and disorderly conduct after he was seen taking metal from a scrap bin at Friction Stir Link, 19775 W. Sommer Road, at 5:22 p.m. Jan. 17.

18A 54-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, both from Milwaukee, were arrested for taking four bottles of vodka, a total value of $107.62, from Sam's Club, 600 Springdale Road, Waukesha, at 5:51 p.m. Jan. 21.

A 71-year-old man reported at 4:25 p.m. Jan. 25 that someone had used his credit card information to purchase two laptop computers from an Iowa company.

A 77-year-old woman reported at 8:17 p.m. Jan. 28 that someone had used her credit card information to purchase $1,155.22 worth of items from Walmart and Walgreen stores in North Carolina.

DRUG POSSESSION

19A 32-year-old woman was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and a pipe at 3:40 p.m. Jan. 25 after she called police twice in the same afternoon to report a robbery in progress at her residence in the 100 block of Avie Court.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

20A 21-year-old Racine man was arrested for drunken driving after he was seen driving backward and erratically in the parking lot of Bullwinkle's, 20290 W. Bluemound Road, at 1:18 a.m. Jan. 22.

21A 22-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for drunken driving at Parkway Court and Moreland Boulevard at 11:35 p.m. Jan. 26.

Elm Grove

THEFT

A 16-year-old Elm Grove girl sold an iPod to a 15-year-old boy Jan. 4. The boy wrote the girl a check for the iPod, but the check bounced. Police contacted the person on the checking account, who said that account has been closed for nearly 10 years, and he didn't know how someone got a hold of his old checks.

OTHER

22A 20-year-old Menomonee Falls man was cited for driving with a suspended license in the 1000 block of Pilgrim Parkway just before midnight Jan. 24.

23A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for driving with a suspended license in the 12600 block of Bluemound Road about 8:20 a.m. Jan. 25.
